About this blog

This blog is a place to record the little nuances of Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) applications and infrastructure.  The goal is to provide a place to report issues and workarounds for things consultants find every day. The topics covered here have evolved as the Oracle software stack has. While I used to talk more about on-premises install issues and FDMEE, I now do a lot more with EPM Cloud data integration and Enterprise Data Management (EDM).

My name is Robert Gideon.  I cheerfully serve as a Data Integration Lead for Donyati.  I have many years of Information Technology experience with the last 20 years focused on Oracle EPM products.  My experience ranges from integrations, Essbase and Planning, installation of on-prem EPM software, and some programming. I have completed over 130 installations of EPM across the United States. I have been lucky to present at user groups across the country and even OpenWorld several years ago.  I hold certifications in Essbase, Planning, Exalytics, as well as EPM Cloud products like EDM, ARC, and Narrative Reporting.

If you have any questions, or would like to see a post on a particular topic, please let me know.
